Bloom is a public art collaboration based in Austin Texas. Fathers and their children will gather monthly to hand-embroider colorful flowers on black and white gun targets printed on felt totaling the number of children aged 17 and under who have been killed by guns in the US since 2010. The final artwork will be sewn together into one large artwork and displayed first outside the Austin Texas State Capitol building and second outside the US Capitol Building in Washington D.C. At each monthly gathering an expert guest will be invited to host a group discussion on a topic related to male identity which will be published as the podcast "Bloom: Beyond male violence."
